Place the meat on a baking sheet.
You can either use a cast iron grill, or grill on a grill rack.2.
Place a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.3.
Add a little olive oil, salt and pepper.4.
Add the onions and cook until softened.5.
Add steak, then cook until the steak is cooked through, and the meat is just barely cooked through.6.
Add some diced tomatoes and cook for another minute or so.7.
Add 1/2 cup of marinara sauce.8.
Add fresh cilantro, oregano, garlic, basil, chili powder, red pepper flakes and chili powder.9.
Cook until the meat has cooked through and the sauce is starting to thicken.10.
You can also add a couple of tablespoons of chopped fresh herbs like parsley, basil or parsley leaves.
If you are using a cast Iron or grill pan, make sure to check the temperature of the steaks.
This can affect the flavor of the steak.11.
Remove the meat from the pan and set aside.12.
Place some steak marinades on a large plate or plate and let them sit for 15 minutes.
If your steak is grilled on a high flame, make it easy on yourself by placing it on a pan of water for a minute or two.
The water will help keep the steak moist and tender.
This step is optional, but will keep the meat flavorful and juicy.13.
If your steak has a large crust, cook it in the oven for 5 minutes, or until the crust is browned.
If the steak has not yet browned, remove it from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack.14.
Remove and discard the foil.15.
If you have a stovetop grill, make the marinading a little bit simpler by placing the steak on a rack of foil on the grill.
Remove from the grill and set it aside for a few minutes.16.
With the steak hot, place the meat in a small saucepan over medium heat.
Place in the pan, and cook over medium for 10 minutes.
Remove, drain and set the steak aside for another 15 minutes before serving.
