Ingredients for Mushroom Steaks:3/4 cup olive oil1/2 cup diced mushrooms1/4 teaspoon garlic powder1/8 teaspoon salt1/3 cup water2 cups water1/5 cup finely chopped cilantro2 cups chopped mushrooms1 cup diced onions1 cup sliced mushrooms1 tablespoon olive oil3 tablespoons butter2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese, shredded cheese or mozzarella cheese2 cups cooked mushrooms4 ounces chopped tomatoes2 tablespoons fresh parsley1/16 teaspoon cayenne pepper1/1 teaspoon oregano1/12 teaspoon black pepperDirections:Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add the diced mushrooms to the pan and sauté until soft.
Add the garlic powder, salt, and water and stir for about 3 minutes.
Add in the water and mix well.
Add your chopped cayanne pepper and stir to combine.
Cook for about 10 to 12 minutes until the mushrooms are soft.
Remove from the heat and set aside.
To prepare the mushrooms, first make a roux by adding about 2 cups of water to a large mixing bowl.
Mix together with a fork and add the chopped mushrooms to it.
Stir the mushrooms to combine and season to taste.
In a small bowl, combine the olive cream, cayene pepper, and onion powder.
Spread the mixture over a baking sheet or a baking mat and sprinkle with salt.
Bake for 15 minutes.
Allow to cool on the baking sheet for about 15 minutes before removing from the pan.
